This song is dedicated to Waialua, the kūpuna, and to all those who have inspired us throughout our journey in Waialua. This mele was written by Daven Chang and all the haumāna of the North Shore Field School with the inspiration and kōkua from the kūpuna, NSFS staff, and the community. This mele was written from inspiration that was gathered from our huakaʻi, interactions with the kūpuna and their homes, and most importantly from Waialua itself. This mele hopes to preserve our experiences and inspire future generations to take on the kuleana of this legacy project for all perpetuity.
